“Celebrity Race, Free Youth Wave Races, Media Day”
Celebrity Race & Media Information: 2:00 – 5:00
Selected Media and Celebrity individuals will have an opportunity to sail and race on one of the Hobie 16 boats with a Skipper participating in the Championships event. They will serve as crew, while they compete against other teams on an official course. Naturally, they will need to wear all the official gear including the exciting TRAP SEAT & HARNESS so they can Hang Out over the boat while racing to A mark.
Free Youth Wave Races – 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM:
All Kids 12 and under are invited to come out and sail a Hobie Wave just off the Clear Lake Yacht Club Beach. This is a great opportunity for you kids to take a turn sailing one of Hobie’s entry level beginner boat. These boats can be found at all kids of vacation destinations. They are made out of roto-molded plastic, are easy to set up, and are a blast to get wet on during a Hot Summer Day! We will have several boats rigged on the beach and volunteers to go out with your child. Anyone under 12 is welcome to experience the Hobie Way of Life!

Special Sponsorship Day, Wednesday, 9/10/08
Free Cruise on Lady of the Lake to view the races. Must have a Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Card.
